I had mint, and I had lemons, and I had tea bags, and I had a beautiful new pitcher, so I spontaneously decided to make my own sweetened Mint Iced Tea!
I am an iced tea lover, and so is hubs, so I knew we’d enjoy having a fresh pitcher in the fridge. But, I also realized during this process – it is so much more affordable to make your own iced tea! Regular ol’ black tea bags (I used PG Tips) are pretty cheap to come by, and so is sugar, if you just want to make iced tea. And mint and lemon are great additions that won’t break the bank. It just seems like a no brainer to take five minutes to make your own, definitely healthier, delicious beverage!
You could try different flavor combinations, but mint and lemon is such a classic! Plus, I’m sure this would be good spiked as well!
Happy sipping!
